South Amherst Historical Society Endowment Fund
In 2022, the South Amherst Historical Society established an endowment fund with the Community Foundation of Lorain County to ensure the future of the organization. This fund will provide yearly returns which will help cover the overhead costs of the organization in perpetuity. The South Amherst Historical Society has a goal of raising $100,000 for this fund. Please send a check directly to the Community Foundation with a note indicating the funds are to be attributed to the South Amherst Historical Society. Donations can take many forms, including bequests, retirement distributions, stocks, appreciated assets, and so much more! Click the link below for more information.

Pioneer Cemetery Fund
Pioneer Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in the village. Many of the early settlers are interned in this cemetery. Pioneer Cemetery is in great need of restoration before we lose vital village history. The cemetery work began in the fall of 2020 and is scheduled to end in 2025. Gravestone Restoration Services have repaired and reset many of the stones. Records are being developed. The South Amherst Historical Society and the Village of South Amherst Cemetery Board are working together on this important project.

South Amherst Historical Society General Fund
